FlipZoo is a memory card matching game designed for children aged 2–12 and their families. Because this app is directed at children, we have designed it with the highest possible level of privacy protection — collecting the absolute minimum data required to operate the app.

This policy applies to all versions of FlipZoo on Android and covers all users including children, parents, and guardians.

FlipZoo is designed to be played completely offline with no user accounts required. The information we collect is minimal and limited strictly to what is necessary for the app to function.

2.1 Data Stored Locally On Your Device (Never Transmitted)

The following is stored only on the device and is never sent to our servers:

• Game progress — levels completed, stars earned, worlds unlocked
• Zoo collection data — animals rescued and named by the player
• Daily streak count and last play date
• Selected age profile (Toddler / Explorer / Champion)
• Theme preferences and card back selections
• Coin balance and power-up inventory
• Parent-configured settings (screen time limits, bedtime mode, ad preferences)

2.2 Data Collected by Google AdMob (Third-Party SDK)

The app uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob is configured in child-directed mode for all users of this app. In child-directed mode, AdMob:

• Does NOT use the Android Advertising ID (AAID) from child users
• Does NOT serve interest-based or personalized ads
• Only serves contextual, non-personalized ads appropriate for children
• Complies with COPPA and Google Play Families Ads Program requirements

AdMob may collect limited technical data such as device type and general location (country/region level only) solely for the purpose of serving a single non-personalized ad. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

2.3 Crash & Performance Data (Anonymous, Aggregated)

If the app crashes, anonymous technical data (device model, Android version, app version) may be collected via Android's built-in crash reporting to help us fix bugs. This data contains no personal information and cannot be linked to any individual user or child.

Our Ads Commitment to Parents

• Rewarded ads (watch to earn coins) are always player-initiated — never auto-played or forced
• All ads are served through Google AdMob Families Self-Certified SDK only
• Child-directed treatment flag (setTagForChildDirectedTreatment(true)) is enabled for all ad requests
• No interest-based advertising, no behavioral profiling
• No third-party ad networks beyond Google AdMob
• Parents can disable all rewarded ads in the Parent Dashboard
• A permanent "Remove All Ads" one-time purchase is available for parents who prefer a completely ad-free experience

AdMob SDK Compliance

Our AdMob integration targets Android API Level 33+ and does not declare the AD_ID permission, ensuring the Android Advertising ID (AAID) is set to a string of zeros for all users of this app, in full compliance with Google Play Families data practices.

Parental Controls Built Into the App

All sensitive app settings are protected behind a Parent Gate — a simple math verification that young children cannot bypass. Inside the Parent Dashboard, parents can:

• Set daily screen time limits (the app will display a "zoo nap time" screen when reached)
• Enable Bedtime Mode to automatically calm the game experience after a set time
• Turn off all rewarded ads entirely
• View this week's play time and levels completed
• Manage and review all in-app purchases
• Enable purchase blocking to prevent accidental IAP by children

In-App Purchases

All purchases in FlipZoo are processed exclusively through Google Play billing. We never collect or store payment card information. All IAP screens are behind the Parent Gate. Parents should use Android's built-in purchase authentication settings (fingerprint / PIN required for purchases) for an additional layer of protection.

Your Rights as a Parent

You have the right at any time to:

• Review what game data is stored on your child's device
• Delete all local game data by uninstalling the app or using Android's "Clear Data" option in App Settings
• Contact us to ask about any data practices

FlipZoo fully complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which protects the online privacy of children under the age of 13 in the United States.

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
